Being a migrant myself, I understand the importance of culture and family in women’s health. My goal is always to provide individualised care in a supportive environment that is both holistic and evidence-based.

Dr Karen Sheng is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who is dedicated to providing the best health care to women of all ages.

With more than 10 years experience in medicine, Dr Sheng offers comprehensive and personalised obstetric care to both high and low risk pregnancies, as well as all aspects of benign gynaecological problems.

Dr Sheng completed her medical degree at the University of Otago, NZ, and a Masters degree in Reproductive Medicine at UNSW.

After graduation, she trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Royal North Shore Hospital and became a Fellow with The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. As part of her training, she undertook a year of Gynaecology Fellowship in Taiwan, focusing on minimally invasive surgery.

I believe that communication and collaboration are the key to success when it comes to managing women’s health.

"My Cervical Screening Test came back Positive! Do I have Cancer?"

In this short Q&A video, Dr Karen Sheng answers this very common question along with others we hear regularly in relation to HPV (Human Papillomavirus) and the new Cervical Screening Test. There is still a lot of confusion around this new normal.
